Hi All, I am urgently in need of help for clearing my math test that is approaching . I really do not intend to opt for the guidance of private coaches and web coaching since they prove to be quite costly. Could you suggest a perfect teaching software that can help me with learning the basics of Algebra 1. Particularly, I need help on simplifying expressions and 3x3 system of equations. |

I find these routine queries on almost every forum I visit. Please don’t misunderstand me. It’s just as we advance to college, things change suddenly . Studies become complex all of a sudden. It is good to know that you wish to improve your math and are taking efforts to do so. I think you should try Algebrator. This is not exactly a tutoring device but it offers solutions to math problems in a very descriptive manner. And the best thing about this product is that it is very user friendly. There are a lot of examples given under various topics which are quite helpful to learn the subject. Try it and wish you good luck with math. |

Is the software really that helpful? I’m concerned because it might not really help because it only solves the problem per ?e. I like to understand how a problem is solved and not only know the answer. Nevertheless, could you give me a link for this software? |

Hi Friends , Based on your advice , I purchased the Algebrator to get myself equipped with the basics of Remedial Algebra. The explanations on unlike denominators and side-angle-side similarity were not only graspable but made the whole topic pretty interesting. Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Remedial Algebra, Intermediate algebra and Algebra 2. It is a really a great piece of math software. I remember of going through difficulties with graphing parabolas, linear inequalities and fractional exponents. I would simply type in a problem from the workbook , click on Solve – and step by step solution to my algebra homework. I highly recommend the program. |
